Dr. Camille Filardo-Kraft is an athlete, counselor, educator, and business owner who is passionate about collectively constructing positive concepts. The three fundamental elements that motivate Dr. Kraft are creativity, activity, and connectivity. When these three factors intersect, she is at the apex of her game. Her strong leadership practices are based upon outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. She excels at building relationships. She has often been described over the years by schoolteachers, coaches, friends, family, and employers as having a high-energy level; and this is why: Camille began her career working in higher education. Her experience has spanned junior and four-year college, as well as graduate level which afforded her the ability to interface with NCAA Divisions I, II and III. She was privileged to have served as an Associate Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, Title IX Deputy, and Dean. Concurrently, she taught as an adjunct professor while she created her first business; Student Athlete Sashes (SAS) in 2003. As CEO and President of Student Athlete Sashes, she has enjoyed overseeing the design and production of custom graduation stoles. Her company also offers mentorship opportunities to athletic administrators interested in choreographing their own graduation ceremony. Today, SAS is honored to be working with over 100 colleges celebrating their student-athletes’ academic success. In 2015, Dr. Kraft assumed the responsibility of a second company; ERM. At ERM Camille was President and Administrator of the NFL Substance Abuse Program. As the CEO of a multi-million-dollar company she coordinated services for NFL players with rehabilitation facilities, team doctors, and clinicians nation-wide. In doing so, Camille was the first woman to represent the Substance Abuse Program and serve on the NFL Substance Abuse Committee which reported to the NFL and NFLPA. A strong proponent of balancing advocacy and accountability, Dr. Kraft consults at the collegiate and professional levels championing the development of critical thinking skills in relation to mental health. As the founder and CEO of Camille Kraft Consulting, Camille has had the privilege of working with a first-turned-third round NFL draft pick and a former 14-year NFL veteran battling substance abuse. From 2020-2021 she served as the Commissioner for the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC) and most recently has been named to the Board of Directors for Pro Athletes in Recovery (Pro Air). Dr. Filardo -Kraft earned her BA in Psychology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA where she played for the women’s soccer team. She has earned advanced degrees in Athletic Counseling (MS) from Springfield College, Springfield, MA, and Administrative Leadership in Higher Education (EdD) from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, CA. Her fondest memories began when the restraints of ballet were lifted at age 5 and cleats and racing swimsuits were introduced – freedom began. Although she didn’t make it down the aisle with cleats and shin guards under her gown as her father had predicted in her youth, she did marry her husband Jerry and is mother to their rescue-dog Gracie in Temecula, CA.
