Show Notes
Kim Porter, CFRS, founded Be a Part of the Conversation after her own family’s painful journey through her son’s addiction. Now more than 15 years into recovery, his story fuels her mission to make sure families never feel alone, ashamed, or lost.
Her organization delivers nearly 50 programs a year, supports thousands of parents through weekly meetings, and has reached more than 32,000 people across Pennsylvania. Kim’s work is a lifeline for families seeking clarity, connection, and hope — and her leadership has earned some of the state’s highest prevention and community service awards.
This conversation matters because families deserve answers, compassion, and a path forward. Kim brings all three.
