"Six months after I was released from prison as a direct result of my own heroin addiction, my 20-year-old son, Nick—who I paved the way to use deadly drugs—died of an overdose. I take responsibility for his death and will spend the rest of my life trying to prevent that from happening to another addicted person or parent.

I've seen and done it all. I've been an addict, and I've run million-dollar companies. Drugs stole more than half of my life, but since walking out of prison, I've dedicated every waking minute to dealing hope to addicts and their families. It was in prison that I found recovery—and a passion to help others.

Known as "The Hope Dealer," I am a successful entrepreneur, a grateful recovering heroin addict and alcoholic, and a truth-talking convicted felon. My wife, Jennifer Gimenez, and I are a power couple committed to helping others. I speak the language of solutions in the midst of an opioid epidemic that is killing hundreds of people in the United States every single day. Where there is life, there is hope. I speak hope. I live recovery. My mission is to prevent addiction issues in others and inspire change in the hearts of those already addicted".
