Show Notes

Lunden Roberts is a mother, author, and financial officer who found herself thrust into the public spotlight due to her relationship with Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden. After excelling as a McDonald’s All-American nominee and playing basketball at Arkansas State University, Roberts transitioned to studying criminal justice and psychology, which eventually took her to Washington, D.C. During her prestigious CSI training, she crossed paths with Hunter Biden and soon began working as his executive assistant at Rosemont Seneca.

Their relationship, however, became intertwined with a tumultuous chapter in Hunter's life. In her book, *"Out of the Shadows - My Life Inside the Wild World of Hunter Biden,"* Roberts offers a raw and revealing account of Hunter's deep struggles with drug addiction, particularly his out-of-control addiction to crack cocaine. She recounts the intense challenges of managing her own life while dealing with Hunter’s erratic behavior during the weeks and months before he falsely claimed to be drug-free on a federal firearms form—an event that added another layer of complexity to their already turbulent relationship.

Despite these struggles, Roberts became a mother to their daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, in August 2018, though Hunter’s paternity was only confirmed through a court-ordered test in 2019. In 2023, following a high-profile court settlement and a public acknowledgment from President Biden, Navy was recognized as one of his seven grandchildren.

Roberts not only shares her personal ordeal with Hunter’s addiction but also the toll it took on their daughter, all while balancing her own identity and career. As the financial controller of her family’s business, Rob Roberts Custom Gunworks, she continues to build a future for herself and her daughter.

In addition to her advocacy for women facing unplanned pregnancies, Roberts is launching a new fashion line, bringing her resilience and creativity to yet another arena. Her story serves as a powerful testament to overcoming adversity, revealing the deeply personal costs of addiction and its ripple effects on family.
