Rob Lohman’s battle with addiction began at just 14 years old, fueled by a family history of alcoholism. Throughout his teenage and young adult years, he lived a chaotic, chameleon-like existence, losing his true identity to drinking and drug use. Despite the mistakes he made during those years, Rob credits his journey with giving him the powerful stories he now uses to help others move from addiction to recovery. One night, while drinking heavily at a bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rob experienced a moment of divine intervention. He heard the words, "You're done," in the middle of the crowd and later, at home, came within seconds of taking his own life. It was the nudge of his dog, Jake, and a flood of thoughts about his family that saved him. The next day, Rob reached out for help, attended his first AA meeting, and has remained sober for 18 years, building a new life filled with family, purpose, and faith.
