Khallid Muhammad is the son of Nation of Islam Minister Tony Muhammad. He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of six. Muhammad formed OverDoz. in 2008 and released one album and four mixtapes with the group. He is known professionally as Kent Jamz, is an American rapper and singer. 

He is a member of OverDoz. Overdoz (stylized as OverDoz.) is an American hip hop group from the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles, California. The group is composed of vocalist and rapper Kent Jamz, rapper Joon, rapper P and comedian Cream. 

The group formed in the summer of 2008 and are currently signed to RCA Records and Polo Grounds Music. 

Overdoz has collaborated with several prominent artists in the hip hop industry, such as Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Childish Gambino, Juicy J, The Internet, Flatbush Zombies, Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, Nipsey Hussle and Skeme. 

As a member of the eclectic hip-hop outfit Overdoz, Kent Jamz had already made a name for himself before branching out on his own, first with the collaborative 2020 EP Janktape, Vol. 1 with fellow L.A.-based rapper Buddy, and then with his debut solo album, 2022's Fanclub. 

He has quite a recovery story.
