Show Notes
Duke Rumely is a former alcoholic who has been sober since 1989. Since then he realized that what was needed at concerts and sporting events was an area for those who are sober and trying to remain that way. He founded Sober AF Entertainment and is making great strides in leading the sober movement - making sober the popular to be for young and old alike.
By 1990, Duke Rumely had overcome drug addiction and found solace in the Wharf Rats, a sober support group for Grateful Dead fans. Thirty years later, his daughter's experience at Red Rocks, where her friends had taken ecstasy, prompted Duke and Jordan Rumely to establish Sober AF Entertainment. This nonprofit provides sober spaces at music events, addressing the alarming rate of drug overdoses and the prevalent party culture at concerts and festivals.
